As I sit here in my nice and quiet apartment, listening to Bon Iver and drinking teavana tea, I am reminded of the phrase “The Calm Before the Storm”. Now I am not referencing storm in such a “negative” way that some people would, the phrase is more in reference to the crazy busy week ahead of me including a LONG travel day to northern Canada. Monday & Tuesday will be spent running around at work getting last minute preparations completed for my trip. Wednesday I will also be getting some stuff done around the apartment and then Thursday about 10 -12 hours of traveling and then I will be in Canada for 16 days. SO needless to say I am enjoying the peace and quiet before the week hits me at 4:50am tomorrow morning.

I decided that this weekend I would try to knock-out most of my To Do list and I LOVED every minute of it. As I sit here sipping on some teavana tea I have to say that I feel the accomplishment of a productive weekend. Some of the little tasks include buying and hanging picture frames, choosing the pictures for the frames, re-printing messed up pictures AND of course laundry and grocery shopping. I was able to make progress on some of my side projects. I purchased Yep!, which is a document organization program that keeps track of all of your files using tags. It is pretty rad and I think I am starting to move away from the traditional FOLDER organization. We shall see. I also did a fresh install of Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro which was well over due. My MAC is running much faster now and it didn’t take to long to re-install all of my software. Another item on my To Do list is to figure out an offline storage solution where I had control of my files, so I am testing out JungleDisk which uses Amazon’s S3 storage solutions.
